Our Chippenham and Sherston Judo Clubs are part of the SJA (Shodan Judo Association) which is an independent regional Judo Association and brings with it many benefits. One of which is that our events such as our gradings, competitions, camps and courses are all held locally with minimal travel to our club members. No hours of travel or overnight stays and costs in order to participate in our events.
However, our Head coach and many of our members hold BJA (British Judo Association) licences. This is the national governing body for Judo in the UK and becoming a member of the BJA is always encouraged for our members who wish to participate in more events, particularly competitions with the opportunity for entry and progression to national events. Our Head Coach is a BJA Level Two coach and we are currently engaging in the process for our Chippenham Club to be a BJA Club.
